Why aren't 10looniehost's web hosting plans limited by feature?

We don't believe in artificially limiting the featureset of a web hosting account.

You shouldn't be forced to upgrade your account because need an extra database, or need more than 3 mailboxes.

Instead, we believe that the only metrics that web hosting should be sold on are disk space and bandwidth.

Everything else is unlimited.

We only care about how much data you're storing, and how much data you're shifting.

Where are the 10looniehost servers located?

All of our servers are physically located in Canada.

We use two datacenters - one in Kelowna, BC, the other in Montreal, Quebec.

What's your uptime?

Our target uptime is 99.98% and all servers are monitored on a minute by minute basis by a third party independent monitoring service to help ensure this target level of service is maintained.

What is the minimum hosting contract length?

One month, in advance. Your contract is only as long as you've paid for in advance and you can cancel at anytime.

Can I pay for hosting in advance?

Yes, we offer payment in advance for 1, 3, 6 and 12 month periods. Pricing for 24 months in advance is also available on selected hosting plans.

Is there a discount for paying in advance?

Yes, discounts are available and are shown as an option on the shopping cart when choosing an advance period to pay for.

Do you sell domains?

We do indeed - you can transfer the registration of your domain to us when placing an order for hosting (although there is no requirement to do so, you are also welcome to use a third party registrar).

How do I upgrade my web hosting account?

Log in to your billing control panel. Click on 'My Services', then click on the green arrow button next to the hosting account you wish to upgrade. Finally, click on the 'Upgrade/Downgrade Package' button at the foot of the page.

If you should experience any difficulty with this procedure, just let us know and we'll take care of it for you.

How can you afford to offer free hosting accounts?

The cost of offering free accounts is very small as they don't use a significant amount of disk space and bandwidth. The cost associated with the free accounts is factored into our business plan and is covered by the revenue from paid accounts.

Primarily, it gives prospective customers the chance to try out our service without incurring a financial penalty. They can set up their sites, do initial development and ensure everything is operational before their site goes active.
